Spanish classicism and popular music: “Manuel de Falla and Federico García Lorca”
Spanish classicism and popular music
A trip to the extremes of classical and popular music, focused mainly on Manuel de Falla’s “El Amor Brujo” and his vision of popular songs, and on Federico García Lorca’s folklorist side. There are also glimpses into the world of the jota and the copla, so rooted and extended throughout Spain.
The musical formation could be a duet of voice and guitar or a small-orchestra (including strings and wind instruments) but always includes dance, which is inseparable from this music.
